The gateway to the east Mediterranean region in Turkey, Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport welcomed the first flight of Kish Air from Tehran, the capital of Iran.

Operated by TAV Airports, a member of Groupe ADP, Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport welcomed the first Kish Air flight from Tehran, on Friday the 3rd. 160 passengers arrived in Gazipaşa with a Kish Air A-321 aircraft. This is the first time the airline is flying to Gazipaşa and it will operate weekly flights on this route during both the summer and winter seasons.

TAV Gazipaşa General Manager Ekrem Akgül said “We are happy to welcome the first Kish Air flight from Tehran. We’re working to provide a safe and comfortable travel experience to our passengers. As the flight restrictions are eased, international traffic has picked up during the summer months and we were able to attract new airlines as well.”

This season 13 airlines fly to 15 destinations in 10 countries from Gazipaşa. The airport served 262 000 passengers in the first seven months of the year.
