Ali Özgür Pehlivan Appointed as Director of TAV Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport
Ali Özgür Pehlivan has been appointed as the Airport Director at TAV Gazipaşa Alanya Airport Operations Inc. Pehlivan, who has held various positions within TAV Airports since 2010, has been serving as the Airport Manager at Batumi Airport since 2020. Starting his new role on October 1, 2024, Pehlivan will report to Kürşad Koçak, the Group President (COO) responsible for Airport Operations at TAV Airports.
About Ali Özgür Pehlivan
Ali Özgür Pehlivan graduated from the Mechanical Engineering Department of Balıkesir University in 2008. He completed his MBA at Bilgi University and began his career at TAV Airports in 2010 as Chief of Technical Services. In 2017, he served as the Orat and Transition Officer at Medina Airport. In 2018, he managed the maintenance and repairs of mechanical systems as the Deputy Director of Mechanical Installations. In 2019, he was appointed as the Deputy Airport Manager responsible for Technical Operations at Batumi Airport. Since 2020, he has been serving as the Airport Manager at Batumi Airport. Pehlivan speaks English and is married with one child.
About Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport
Gazipaşa-Alanya, the second airport of Antalya, one of the most popular tourism destinations in the Mediterranean, offers direct access to the eastern part of the region. TAV Airports won the tender for the operating rights of Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport in August 2007. With the investments made by the company, the terminal building was tripled in size, the apron parking capacity was doubled, and the runway was extended to accommodate wide-body aircraft. TAV Airports has the operating rights of the airport until May 2036. Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport served a total of 718,985 passengers in the January-August period of 2024.
