Gazipasa Airport connects directly to 12 points in eight countries

Antalya Gazipasa Airport adds Copenhagen to its direct flight destinations with the flights of Jet Time Airlines. 148 passengers coming from Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, have been welcomed with flowers in Gazipasa.

Operated by TAV Airports, Antalya Gazipasa Airport has welcomed 148 passengers coming with the first of reciprocal flights of Jet Time Airlines from Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. A welcome ceremony has been held at the Gazipasa Airport for the first flight performed with B737-300 type aircraft. The aircraft landed to Gazipasa at 21:25 and took off at 22:15 for its return flight with …. passengers on board. Gazipasa has also recently welcomed the first flight of Small Planet Airlines from Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, and the passenger traffic in Gazipasa is expected to increase in the summer season.

TAV Gazipasa General Manager Cengiz Asikli stated as follows: “We see the positive results of the works we have performed to bring Gazipasa Airport to the position it deserves since its location is important for Alanya and the surrounding region. We are very happy to welcome the first flight of Jet Time which started to carry our guests from Scandinavian countries to Gazipasa since they constitute an important tourism potential for our region. We will continue our hard work in order to contribute to Gazipasa as well as to tourism sector of Alanya and our region.”

Jet Time will be performing flights to Gazipasa Airport two times a week and during the summer season the flight number will increase up to 10 times per week. Jet Time is the seventh airline company launching flights to the area after Small Planet Airlines, Pegasus, SAS, Corendon Airlines, Transavia and Tailwind Airlines. B737-400, B737-700, B737-800 and A320 types of aircrafts have landed to and took off from Gazipasa Airport up until today. Recently, General Directorate of Civil Aviation has announced its permission for SAS Airlines to perform its flights to Gazipasa with A320 and A319 type aircrafts.

There are direct flights to 12 destinations in 8 countries from Gazipasa Airport, which are Copenhagen, Billund and Aalborg in Denmark, Amsterdam and Eindhoven in the Netherlands, Oslo in Norway, Stockholm and Goteborg in Sweden, Brussels in Belgium, Warsaw in Poland, Pardubice in Czech Republic and Vilnius in Lithuania. And with the daily Istanbul connected flights of Pegasus, passengers are able to reach 17 domestic and 37 international destinations.
