Oğuzhan Karatürk appointed TAV Gazipaşa Operations Coordinator
Oğuzhan Karatürk has been appointed as the TAV Gazipaşa Operations Coordinator. Having undertaken various roles within TAV Airports since 2006, Karatürk served as the Terminal Operations Coordinator at Milas-Bodrum Airport since 2021. Oğuzhan Karatürk will assume the responsibilities arising from Ömer Sözener's departure from the position of Operations Coordinator at the end of the year and will officially start his new role on January 1, 2024.
About Oğuzhan Karatürk
Graduating from Kyrgyzstan Manas University in 2004, Oğuzhan Karatürk initially served as the General Manager Secretary at the Türkiye-Kyrgyzstan Business Council between 2003 and 2004. Subsequently, from 2004 to 2005, he held positions as Export and Sales Responsible at West Anatolia Cement Inc.
Transitioning to the aviation sector in 2006, he continued his career at Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport until 2015. During the nine years, he served as the Chief of Aviation Area Allocation and Contracts. From 2015 to 2021, he held the position of Terminal Operations Manager at the same airport. Since 2021, he has been working as the Terminal Operations Coordinator at Milas-Bodrum Airport, proficient in English, Russian, and Kyrgyz.
About Alanya-Gazipaşa Airport
Gazipaşa-Alanya, the second airport of Antalya, one of the most popular tourism destinations in the Mediterranean, provides direct access to the eastern region. TAV Airports won the tender for the operation rights of Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport in August 2007. Through the company's investments, the terminal building was expanded threefold, apron parking capacity doubled, and the runway was extended to accommodate wide-body aircraft. TAV holds the operating rights for the airport until May 2036. In the January-November period of 2023, Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport served a total of 829,822 passengers.
